You may be surprised to know that there’s a thing that has a profound impact, fosters self-confidence, offers dignity, and leads a student to improved results in school and behaviors in class. What’s that thing? Shoes!

Children deserve to play, run and learn. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case. Hundreds of students in our schools don’t have proper shoes and for that they will face hurdles like lack of confidence and limited access to athletics. Tattered and ill-fitting shoes are a sign of financial disadvantage.

The Leadership Round Rock class of 2024 has pledged to raise funds to buy shoes for students in RRISD Title I schools and help students “Step N2 Success” in partnership with the Round Rock Police Foundation. Providing new shoes is a simple and tangible solution. We can help the next generation in our community rise up and reach their potential.
